This community-wide event will feature over 50 sessions and activities, designed to provide knowledge, tools, discussion forums, and pathways for civic engagement with the political, economic, and social challenges we face today. MIT April 18: Day of Engagement, Day of Action is a grassroots effort organized by members of the MIT community. The event is free and open to all, inviting respectful dialogue among individuals across all political, religious, class, cultural, and social groups and perspectives.

Session topics will cover a wide variety of subjects, including democracy, political corruption, immigration justice, gerrymandering, protest, nonviolent civil disobedience, environmental justice, refugees, free speech, gentrification, and more.
