Hello everyone!

My name is Hope Harrison. I'm a course 6-2 junior at MIT, and I just wanted to invite you to a LabVIEW workshop I will be teaching on campus this semester. I'll be holding an info session about the workshop on Reg Day, so you can learn about it, and I'd love for you to come.

What: LabVIEW Workshop Info Session
When: Sep 6th 2pm
Where: 3-370
Why: Learn about the class and have a chance to win cool LabVIEW related prizes!

If you're interested in the workshop, whether or not you can attend the info session, sign up here<https://goo.gl/forms/tuXCPu7EiKubOjAm2> so I can be sure to include you on future emails about the workshop.

And if you just can't wait for the info session, here's some more about the class:

The workshop will be 2 hours per week, in the evening, for 10 weeks. Which day of the week will be decided by input at the info session. It's a big time commitment, but at the end of the workshop, National Instruments offers a free CLAD (Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer) exam to everyone, which, if you pass, will look great on your resume.

Over the course of the workshop, you will learn to:

  * Create applications using the state machine design pattern to acquire, process, display, and store real world data.
  * Learn LabVIEW functionality that directly links to application needs by providing a jump-start for application development or skills to improve your existing applications.
  * Discover how LabVIEW integrates with existing legacy software, IP, and hardware while capitalizing on the latest computing technologies such FPGA technology.

If you're interested in learning how to use LabVIEW as an engineering and scientific tool, it will be a great chance to learn how. I've done lots of UROPs using LabVIEW and it has turned out to be really useful for me, and I think it can for you too.

--Hope
