Subject: PKG Public Service Fellowships
Date: August 24, 2016 at 11:27:45 AM EDT
The MIT Public Service Center has funded community service opportunities available to MIT students.
This is a great opportunity that allows students to carry out service projects locally, nationally, or abroad in their field of study or interest. Our office covers the personal travel and living expenses as well as advises them along the way!
One undergraduate student in your department (Marianna Agudelo'16) was a Fellow this summer.
Could you provide me with the email address of your department newsletter editor? I would like to contact them about including Marianna's project description as a possible newsletter item.
Also, could you please forward the message below to the students within your department in order to get the word out about these awesome opportunities for student led projects?
Thank you for your help!

Apply for a Funded Public Service Fellowship for IAP 2017!
Application Deadline: Friday,October 21st at noon
The Fellowships program supports MIT students working on capacity-building service projects. Students work with community-focused organizations including non-profits and social enterprises. These can include a student's own social enterprise.
What can you do? Follow your passion and benefit a community in need! You can create your own project, continue work on an enterprise you already started, or intern with a service organization.
We welcome a wide range of service projects and support work in the US and abroad.
