Investment Analyst Description:
Our people are central to our business. We are looking for talented professionals who excel in problem solving and in quantitative analysis with a desire to build and implement the solutions to address these challenges. Each Investment Analyst has direct responsibility for investment decision-making, as well as for research, data analysis, testing, trade execution, and business development. Our office culture is entrepreneurial and collegial, so our people must be able to work well and communicate in teams, show initiative and resourcefulness, and provide leadership.
Investment Analysts work within small teams organized by product or market and take responsibility for an individual work module that forms part of the firm’s overall investment activities, while gaining exposure and contributing to a range of business issues across their team and firm. Key attributes for success at DC Energy include:
• Exceptional quantitative analytic skills and requisite technical proficiency
• Superior problem solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Intellectual curiosity
• Integrity and honesty
While we have no explicit required experience for successful applicants, and we have hired people from many different backgrounds, our quantitative analytic approach is well suited to people with degrees in science and engineering or with intensive quantitative experience in their coursework or prior employment.
