NYC Economic Development Corporation Info Session + Q&A
September 24th | 7-8 pm | 1-277
NYCEDC<http://www.nycedc.com/>, New York City’s primary engine for economic development, leverages the City’s assets to drive growth, create jobs, and improve quality of life. We use our expertise to strengthen businesses and help neighborhoods thrive. We make the City stronger.
The Center for Economic Transformation (CET) at NYCEDC aims to develop the City’s major business sectors by implementing policy and programmatic initiatives that address current issues faced by each industry. CET works to create good jobs and promote entrepreneurship across the five boroughs. The Healthcare and Life Sciences Team at CET is looking for students from diverse majors and backgrounds who have an interest in healthcare, life sciences, digital health, economic development, and public policy.
Our existing projects run the gamut from a program to build and support health centers in medically underserved areas, to a nationally-renowned health tech innovation competition, to a $100M venture capital fund to support life sciences/biotech entrepreneurship.
We’re looking for new, full-time project managers as well as paid interns to join our team. Please join us for an information session on Thursday, September 24th from 7-8pm in 1-277, followed by time for Q&A. Last but not least, make sure to stop by the Fall Career Fair in Johnson from 10AM-4PM on September 25th.
If you have questions, please contact Shahriar Khan (skhan at edc.nyc<mailto:skhan at edc.nyc>) or Michelle Anand (manand at edc.nyc<mailto:manand at edc.nyc>).
