Could I ask you send out the details below of a great opportunity to your undergraduate student lists? I am interested in recruiting 10 MIT students to spend their summer term here on campus with 30 students from the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Thank you in advance for your help and please don't hesitate if you have questions or concerns!

Best,

Kate

The MIT-SUTD (Singapore University of Technology and Design)
Collaboration wants you to be a part of their unique summer program
here at MIT! The Global Leadership Program (GLP) includes 30 SUTD
students at MIT for a 10-week leadership and design based program. We
want you to become part of the program and enjoy the benefits of
learning more about intercultural relations, cross-cultural
communications and MIT courses. The GLP is a full-time commitment with
no associated costs (it's free). Please look at the exciting program
agenda below:

LeaderShape Institute- An intense 6-day leadership program at the
Wonderland Conference Center in Sharon, MA (transportation provided).
The mission of the LeaderShape Institute is to create dialogue and
experience interactive self-discovery in a supportive learning
community. Learn more about the LeaderShape Institute here:
http://www.leadershape.org/Institute

Design Electric Water Vessel- Develop teamwork and communications
skills while building an electric boat! By the end of the summer all
boats will race for 1st place on the Charles River!

Wilderness Education for Engineers- Through problem based learning
approach students will be challenged to broaden their concept of
attributes associated with engineering while simultaneously
experiencing engineering processes and the development of technology
within the social context in which it exists. Includes travel to Maine
to camp overnight and kayak during the day.

Architectural Drawing- Introduction to drawing will provide students
with fundamental drawing skills while experimenting with different
types of subject matter, materials, and mark making tools. As the
weather starts to get nicer we will take some field trips around campus
and draw outside!

Ceramics- Discover the basics of clay! This course will focus on the
basics of wheel throwing and hand building. Weekly demonstrations will
inspire the creation of a variety of forms like bowls, mugs and vases.
Students are encouraged to pioneer the own ceramic focus, while the
instructor tailors to their needs.

In addition to the courses above, the GLP offers MIT students exposure
to exciting new start-ups, industry company visits and guest speakers
and presentations from MIT alumni. We also enjoy the MFA, Duck tours,
Provincetown and more!

We would really enjoy learning your interest in spending your summer
with the students from SIngapore! This experience has the potential to
fortify and strengthen your ideas on collaborations and projects as
well as growing into a stronger leader. The SUTD students are eager to
get here and want to learn more about MIT culture, the city of
Cambridge and about you! The program dates are from June 1st August
7th. Rooming will be in Pi Phi Sorority and you will be provided a food
stipend. The link below leads to our website with more information,
blogs and pictures from last years's GLP program and the MIT-SUTD
Collaboration. http://sutd.mit.edu/news.html

Thank you for your consideration and we hope to hear from you soon!
Please email Kate Rhodes at k8rhodes at mit.edu<mailto:k8rhodes at mit.edu> with questions and
