Paid Summer Cancer Research Internships in France
The MIT-France program is recruiting students for PAID summer opportunities.  Undergraduates must have French language skills, there is no language requirement for graduate students.

1.       Imflammasome and Cancer -  Cancer Research Center - Lyon
Study of the NLRP3 inflammasome function in cancer – (description attached)
The team “inflammasome and cancer” is a new CRCL team that studies the link between inflammasome activation and tumor development especially in the lung. The project will require the following techniques: tissue culture of human epithelial cells and mouse macrophages, transfection, Western blot, Real-Time PCR, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry.


2.       Project in LabTau<http://labtau.univ-lyon1.fr/>  - Cancer Research Center - Lyon

Topic: Ultrasound plasmids delivery and cells assembly within hydrogels (description attached)

This internship takes place in Laboratory of Therapeutic Applications of Ultrasound at the Cancer Research Center of Lyon – which is specialized in the development of new non-invasive or minimally invasive therapeutic applications of image-guided ultrasound, by combining experimental and theoretical research for which very few teams, even international, possess the required know-how.

3.       Opportunities with Institut Curie - The largest European oncology research center and two state-of-the-art hospitals.

Founded in 1909 on a model devised by Marie Curie and still at the cutting edge: "from fundamental research to innovative treatments", Institut Curie is a cancer foundation. It specializes in research in oncology and patient care. Institut Curie has 3,400 researchers, physicians, clinicians, technicians and administrative staff.

4.      Cancer research projects with ITAV in Toulouse, France
ITAV (Advanced Technology Institute in Life Sciences) is a research laboratory offering in one location an interdisciplinary environment, technological resources and a gateway  to businesses. Entering fully into the spirit of Oncopole, it favors scientific exchange, a real pooling of resources and promotes  innovations, always with the aim of helping to care for patients.
