> Spark is a program, running March 14-15, where over 1000 excited middle school students will come to MIT to take over 200 classes taught by MIT students on virtually any subject you can think of. If you've heard of Splash, it's just like that (and like Splash, it's run by the Educational Studies Program), except it's for middle schoolers-- and middle schoolers are a crazy bunch, so ESP needs your help to keep everything running smoothly. As a volunteer for Security (which is the name of Spark's task force), you can help check in students, run class changes, help those who are lost find their way, answer parent/student questions, and more. Even though the regular deadline for sign-ups has already passed, you can still help out!

> For your hard work, you'll receive free food and a free shirt. You can volunteer for as much or as little time as you want, but if you help for a longer time, you'll earn a laptop sticker or even a cool hat! It would be particularly awesome if you volunteer in the morning on Saturday and Sunday, because those times are especially important-- Spark is getting set up then. If you sign up for Saturday morning check-in, it counts for an extra hour of your time, so you'll automatically be eligible for a laptop sticker and be well on your way to earning a hat.
