Subject: Fulbright grant opportunities for your students
Date: April 8, 2015 at 10:14:21 AM EDT

The Fulbright is a prestigious scholarship that funds a year of graduate study or an independent research project, and students may apply as undergraduates, graduate students, or alumni (as long as they have their SB by the time their proposed Fulbright project begins). Fulbright projects can be in any discipline.

Students unable to make the info session may contact me<mailto:ndelaney at mit.edu> or Kim Benard<mailto:benard at mit.edu> directly to talk about the Fulbright.

Many thanks for your help.

Best wishes,
Nora

Fulbright US Student Grant Info Session

Date: Tues 4/14/15
Time: noon-1:00pm
Room: 1-277

Get a Fulbright grant to do an independent project or year of graduate study abroad!

Learn about the US Student Fulbright program. If you are currently a junior, senior, or graduate student, a Fulbright award can fund an academic project or year of study abroad.

Fulbright US Student grants fund 8-11 month academic projects or an academic year of graduate study abroad. Projects can take place in one of over more than a hundred qualifying countries and can be in any academic discipline. This session will cover the basics of the Fulbright grant and explain what you need to do to apply through MIT. To qualify for a US Student Fulbright grant, you must be a US citizen.

Contact Nora Delaney<mailto:ndelaney at mit.edu> or Kim Benard<mailto:benard at mit.edu> if you have any questions or to set up an appointment to talk about your interest in the Fulbright. Visithttps://gecd.mit.edu/go_abroad/fellowships/explore/fulbright for more information. Application deadlines are in the early fall of 2015, but you should speak with staff in GECD Distinguished Fellowships in the spring or summer of to prepare your proposal.
