[bioundgrd] Present a Poster at the MIT BioMAN Summit on November 14, 2014 & Get a Chance to Win $1000

The MIT Center for Biomedical Innovation’s Biomanufacturing (BioMAN) Program cordially invites applications for our

2014 BioMAN Summit’s Poster Competition on
Friday, November 14, 2014 at Le Méridien Cambridge-MIT.

This year’s Summit will focus on Real Time Release and posters on topics related to the general theme are welcome for consideration! While we are focusing on the applications of real time release (RTR) to biopharmaceutical manufacturing, we will consider research and papers that identify lessons learned from RTR applications in other types of pharmaceuticals (e.g. small molecules, RNA, DNA) and therapies (e.g. cell) that could be translated to biomanufacturing. Furthermore, we would like to see contributions that address one or more of the following areas:

•        Development and applications of methods in analytical sciences, feedback control, modeling or surrogate markers development that are amendable for real time release of pharmaceuticals;
•        Case examples of implementations of any of the methods above;
•        Systematic analysis of status or trends of research, development and implementation activities of RTR in academic or commercial entities;
•        Identification of opportunities, obstacles, or pathways to further the applications of RTR for biomedical products

We are pleased to announce that CASSS<https://casss.site-ym.com/> (An International Separation Science Society) will sponsor the following:

Three poster prizes:
1st place will receive $1000 (plus travel grant*);
2nd place will receive $500 (plus travel grant*),
3rd place will receive a travel grant*.
*Travel grants include $1000 travel reimbursement and waived registration to a CASSS-sponsored meeting (e.g. WCBP 2015 in Washington, DC<http://casss.site-ym.com/?page=WCBP1500>).

This forum will provide an excellent opportunity for MIT students and postdocs to interact with a broad spectrum of biopharmaceutical manufacturers and vendors involved in research, development and manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, including: Aastrom Biosciences, Amgen, Biogen Idec, BioMarin, GE Healthcare, Genzyme, GlaxoSmithKline, MedImmune, Merck, Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Novartis, Sanofi, sanofi Pasteur and Shire.

Space is limited and potential participants are encouraged to respond as soon as possible.  You will receive an email notification by Monday, November 3rd if your poster has been selected.
