Dear Course 7, 7A, and Course 6-7 Majors:

The mid-term advising period is shortly upon us, starting on Thursday, April 10th and runs until Thursday, April 24th (Drop Date). Please make an appointment with your faculty advisor for some time within this period. You can refer to the faculty profiles page on the Biology Department website to find their office contact information.

This is the ideal moment for you to bring up any issues that are affecting you personally and academically, as well as to review choices for courses in the upcoming semester, discuss ideas for your future career plans, and to get to know your advisor better, particularly in terms of his/her professional background and areas of research.

Even if Biology is your secondary major or you are a Course 6-7 student, it is still important to regularly touch base with your Course 7 advisor. Please take advantage of this time to meet with him/her.

Also, we ask that you bear in mind any changes (i.e., changing status of registration or other items) that need to be approved by your advisor should be taken care of at this meeting, as it is leading up to Drop Date. This would be the ideal time to go through the online add/drop process with your advisor if you are planning to drop a class.

All best,
Joyce
