Interested in technology commercialization and entrepreneurship? Want to explore the potential of a promising technology from an MIT lab and see where it takes you...?

i-Teams (“Innovation Teams”, course 10.807/15.371) is a graduate course offered jointly between the Schools of Engineering and Management. Students choose from a set of breakthrough technologies selected by the Class Faculty from MIT labs on the basis of their excitement and commercial potential. Working in cross-disciplinary i-Teams of 3-5 class peers plus an industry “catalyst”, students focus throughout the semester on exploring a commercialization strategy for their technology and developing a final recommendation for the next steps and the best vehicle to bring the project to impact (e.g. startup, license, NGO).

You will come out of the class understanding how to:

  * Analyze a market and identify opportunities
  * Explore practical and economically viable applications
  * Understand and navigate the intellectual property landscape
  *   Create a go-to-market strategy
  * Produce synergy with peers from other disciplines and colleges
  * Appreciate the iterative nature of the innovation process

Students in the class are invited to lectures by inventors, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists. They have the opportunity to network with some of the brightest minds in the MIT entrepreneurial ecosystem.

There are only a few spots remaining in the course!
