Dear all,

The Harvard Biotechnology Club will be hosting our annual career fair on September 30th. The career fair is open to all who are seeking jobs in various since related sectors. This event places specific emphasis on assisting students, graduate students, medical students and postdoctoral fellows finding jobs. While the fair is run by the Harvard Biotechnology Club it is open to all Boston and Cambridge educational intuitions and the entire community as a whole. This year we expect representation from greater than 30 companies and an attendance number in the thousands.

I am asking for your help to spread the word about this event. I would greatly appreciate it if you could post the message below on your listservs/bulletin's/websites etc.

Pleas do not hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information.

The Harvard Biotech Career Fair 2012 is here!

The biggest career event for life science PhDs, MDs and PostDoc’s, organized by the Harvard Biotech Club will be held on Monday, Sept. 30th in the New Research Building.

Come speak with key recruitment personnel from industry leaders in the fields of Pharma/Biotech, Consulting, Healthcare Services, Patent Law and Medical Deceives.

This is an excellent opportunity to network with company representatives, and land the perfect job!

The career fair will also include a career discussion panel led by industry experts and a keynote address by Dr. Robert Gould, CEO, Epizyme inc.; for more information, see below.

Time:   1:00-5:00PM

Venue: New Research Building (3rd floor Rotunda), Harvard Medical School

Registration is free for Harvard students and Harvard-affiliated postdoctoral fellows, $20 for non-Harvard students, and $40 for professionals. Please pay by cash or check on-site.

Laura Stark Malisheski of the Office of Career Services for Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, will share her tips on how to present yourself, on paper and in person!

In the first part of this workshop, you will learn how to best organize your resume for different types of PhD-level nonacademic positions. Laura will offer specific guidelines and sample resumes to inspire you to create a resume that best represents your strengths and experiences.

In part two of the workshop, you will learn how to effectively introduce yourself to potential employers and make the most of your time at the HBC Career Fair.
