Subject: Great new class Intro to International Relations!

Hi Everyone,

Please pass this along to your undergraduates who may be looking for a good HASS class this semester. It's a new class and is under-enrolled because of it's special seminar number.

Thanks!

Tobie

17.S919 Introduction to International Relations (NEW)
Monday, Wednesday 9:30 - 11:00 am
12 units

Richard Nielsen

Should the US intervene in the ongoing crisis in Syria? Is international cooperation to slow global warming possible? In Introduction to International Relations we learn about the causes of conflict and cooperation in the international system. We will first engage prevailing theories of international relations and then apply these theories to understand both historical and current events. Applications include war initiation, crisis bargaining, international terrorism, nuclear strategy, interstate economic relations, economic growth, international law, human rights and environmental politics.
