A Discussion with Dr. Stephen Chan, MDPhD, MIT alum '95
Dr. Chan will disucss his career and research, and will also offer advice and guidance to those of you who are considering a career as a physician or physician scientist.

**Light refreshments and a chance for networking will be available after Dr. Chan's talk. Since there will be a mix of MIT students & alumni, local area medical students, and professionals in attendance this is a great opportunity to connect with physicians and physicians in training!!**
Dr. Stephen Chan graduated from MIT in 1995 and received his MD and PhD in 2003 from the University of California, San Francisco. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and fellowship training in Cardiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Chan joined the faculty of the Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) in July 2010, and currently, he is pursuing a career in academic medicine with a primary focus on basic research in the mechanisms of pulmonary hypertension coupled with a clinical practice in general cardiology and pulmonary vascular medicine.
