Dear Biology Majors,

As undergraduates in Course 7 or 6/7, you are cordially invited to attend the luncheon with Dr. Carol Greider<http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/health/july-dec09/nobel_10-05.html>, this year's distinguished HHMI Lecture speaker.

Dr. Greider pioneered research on the structure of telomeres, and she was awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine, along with Elizabeth Blackburn and Jack Szostack for their discovery that telomeres are protected from progressive shortening by the enzyme telomerase

Luncheon: Friday, March 15th, 12:00--1:30pm, 68-180<http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=E17>. Open to Biology undergraduates only.

RSVP for luncheon only:  bexec at mit.edu<mailto:bexec at mit.edu> by Friday, March 8th. Seating is limited to the first 20 students to respond.

Please note: a positive RSVP represents a firm commitment to attend this luncheon, and your presence is expected. We ask that you respond with a "yes" only if you are certain that your schedule will allow, and you can be there on time and stay for the duration of the event, 12:00-1:30pm.

(The lecture, itself, will take place later that day from 4-5pm in the Koch Auditorium, 76-156. All are welcome).
