Adding Fall 2013 Sloan Subjects

Even if you did not participate in Sloan course bidding, you can still register for Fall Sloan subjects through online registration. Adding an open subject through the first week of the term will guarantee your seat in the class. Draft or previous semester syllabi for Fall subjects can be viewed athttps://sloanbid.mit.edu/registrar-student/catalog/SearchCatalog.tap.

To Add OPEN Subjects
Students may add open, non-restricted Sloan subjects directly to their online registration forms or with an add form through the first week of classes (through Friday, September 6th). After Friday, September 6th, all subjects require a faculty-signed add/drop form for registration. The Sloan Open Class List is available electronically at http://mitsloan.mit.edu/students/academiclife/OpenClasses/F13OpenClasses.pdf. Course restrictions are indicated under the ‘Restriction’ column. If there is no restriction listed, the course is open to all MIT undergraduates and graduates.
To Add CLOSED Subjects
Students may not add closed or restricted subjects to their online registration forms. If a student is interested in a Sloan subject that is closed, he or she must contact the faculty member and ask to be added to the waitlist. Closed or restricted subjects may only be added via an instructor-signed add/drop form. The Sloan Closed Class List is available electronically at http://mitsloan.mit.edu/students/academiclife/ClosedClasses/F13ClosedClasses.pdf.
