Subject: Design your own biology course for high schoolers this summer!

Think you could create an awesome biology, bioengineering or biomedicine course for advanced high school students? Then apply to teach for Junction 2012!

Junction is a project of the Educational Studies Program (ESP), a MIT student group that connects undergraduate and graduate students who want to teach to middle school and high school students who want to learn. Junction is geared towards motivated high schoolers, and runs four nights per week for roughly six weeks during the summer (July 9 through August 16 this year).

Junction hires two types of teachers: core teachers and seminar teachers. Currently we are accepting applications for core teachers; seminar teachers will be recruited later in January. Core teaching is an awesome project: your chance to *design your own* college-level course on anything that you find exciting in the field of biology - or other fields too, from music history to space engineering.
Example biology classes include: Infectious Disease and Immunology
  Molecular Biotechnology and Cell Function
  Intro to Biological Engineering

                      Intro to Zoology

Core teachers are paid a stipend of $1650 and are provided a generous budget to fund cool labs and other class activities.
