Dear all

Sense About Science (www.senseaboutscience.org<http://www.senseaboutscience.org>) is now taking applications for a free “Standing up for Science” media workshop. Organized in collaboration with the Cambridge Science Festival it will take place at the Broad Institute in Cambridge on Tuesday 24th April. For more information and how to apply seehttp://www.senseaboutscience.org/data/files/VOYS_workshop_2012_Apr_24_Cambridge_flyer.pdf.

The “Standing up for Science” media workshops encourage early career researchers to get their voices heard in public debates about science. During the workshops they discuss concerns about speaking to the public and confront misconceptions about how the media works. The workshop is for early career researchers in all sciences, engineering or medicine (PhD students, post-docs or equivalent in first job). It would be great if you could send this message below around to your early career researchers and encourage them to apply, and let me know if you do. If you have any questions, do let me or my colleague Leonor (international at senseaboutscience.org<mailto:international at senseaboutscience.org>) know.
