Dear Course 7 and 6-7 Majors,

This is just a friendly reminder that the mid-term advising period is now upon us, and will continue until the start of the Thanksgiving break, Wednesday, November 23rd, Drop Date. If you have not done so already, please make an appointment with your faculty advisor for some time within this period.  You can refer to the faculty profiles page on the Biology Department website<http://web.mit.edu/biology/www/facultyareas/viewalpha.html> to find their office contact information.

This is the ideal moment for you to bring up any issues that are affecting you personally and academically, as well as to review choices for courses in the upcoming semester, discuss ideas for your future career plans, and to get to know your advisor better, particularly in terms of his/her professional background and areas of research.

Please note that the advising period ends on Drop Date, so any changes (i.e., changing status of registration or other items<http://web.mit.edu/registrar/reg/add-drop.html>) that need to be approved by your advisor should be taken care of at this meeting.
