Hello Biology Majors,
I wanted to let you all know that today is my last day in the Bio Ed Office
at MIT.
Mostly, this just means your Inbox will be flooded with emails from somebody
else! :) But also, if you have questions about major or minor
requirements, deadlines, advising, etc. you can direct them to Janice Chang
(jdchang at mit.edu) for now. Nick Polizzi in the Bio Ed Office (
npolizzi at mit.edu) is also an excellent resource -- and often good for a
laugh if you need one (just tell him I sent you). I feel sure that whoever
takes my place will also keep the candy basket in 68-120 well stocked.
It has been wonderful to be a part of your academic lives over the last
several years. Biology majors at MIT are passionate, engaged, and hard
working and it has been inspiring for me to witness you. Thank you. I'll
miss watching you work toward graduation and sending you off into your
brilliant futures at your Senior Dinners! But I know you'll do great things
in this world and I'll look for your names whenever exciting biology makes
the headlines.
Please be kind to your bright selves during this time of so much hard work
and activity. You are just at the beginning of your journey. Whatever
happens during your time at the Institute -- and I hope it is all completely
fabulous -- good things wait for you beyond this place, too. (And don't *
ever* be shy about asking your professors, instructors, and administrators
for support - that's what we're here for!)
Cheers.
And peace,
MacKenzie
