Below are some job details:
A summer intern position is available in the Antibody Development and Protein Engineering group within the Research Department. The intern will participate in ongoing antibody engineering projects designed to enhance antibody function and stability. Project tasks may include site directed mutagenesis, antibody expression and purification, mammalian tissue culture, phage display, in vitro assays, ELISAs, and other common molecular biology techniques. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced, team-centered environment, and collaborate and communicate with scientists from various disciplines within the company. The intern will be expected to present and discuss experimental results at group/team meetings.
Position:
Basic knowledge of protein biochemistry and basic lab skills are required. The Candidate must have good aseptic technique and pipetting skills. Experience working in a biochemistry laboratory is highly regarded for this position. Experience with site directed mutagenesis, protein purification, and mammalian cell culture are a plus. Must have ability to learn quickly.
Education:
Senior undergraduate or graduate student in biochemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science or similar disciplines preferred.
Hourly Pay Rate
* * Undergrad- $17.50/hr
* * PhD- $ 33.00/hr
Housing asistant is availabe for out of state Interns- $1,500 per month.
Intern Start Dates
- Monday, May 23rd
- Monday June 6th
