PART TIME POSITION – BIOINFORMATICS/CLONING SOFTWARE
Job Description:  The Gene Transfer Core Facility within the MIT Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department produces viral vectors to manipulate gene expression in the rodent brain, to address a variety of questions about brain function in health and disease. The core director seeks someone to assist in designing cloning strategies for viral vectors.  The position will be based in MIT building 46 and will be computer-based (no wet lab work involved).
Requirements:  Strong background in molecular biology, proficiency with current versions of standard DNA sequence manipulation software (Vector NTI, ApE Plasmid Editor or equivalent) is essential.
Hours:  2-4 hours per week estimated, but flexible
Pay:  $20/hr
