Technician 

An NIH-funded position for a Technician is available immediately within the
Lipid Metabolism Unit at the Center for Computational and Integrative
Biology. As a member of the laboratory of Dr. Mason W. Freeman, this
position will analyze the lipid transport function of ABCA12 and its
relationship to harlequin ichthyosis and development of the skin
permeability barrier. Biochemical and mass spectrometry profiling of mice
and cells lacking ABCA12 will be used identify how the transporter controls
the metabolism and trafficking of skin ceramides that form the lipid
permeability barrier.

Successful candidates for this position will have a BS with experience in
cell biology and biochemistry. Strong written, communication, and
organization skills, as well as a high level of motivation are required.
