Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine has an exciting  
opportunity for a self-motivated research technician to investigate  
mechanisms by which alternative RNA splicing regulates tumorigenesis.  
The laboratory is located in the new state-of-the-art Lurie Research  
building of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at  
Northwestern University.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences or  
related field. Prefer at least 1 year of laboratory research  
experience. The research technician will work directly with the  
Principal Investigator and carry out a broad range of techniques and  
protocols. Responsibilities will include tissue culture work,  
standard molecular biology experiments, and animal testing. The  
technician will also be responsible for ordering laboratory supplies  
and equipment; and maintaining databases for reagents. A successful  
candidate must be willing to work flexible hours based on  
experiments, have strong organizational and communication skills, and  
as part of a team, be comfortable interacting with researchers from a  
diverse set of backgrounds.
