RESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLE





A research assistant position is available in the laboratory of Dr.  
Peter Oettgen at the Harvard Institutes of Medicine and Beth Israel  
Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.  The laboratory is a basic  
molecular biology laboratory.  The focus of the projects include the  
identification of molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of  
normal blood vessel development, endothelial differentiation from  
pluripotent stem cells, and angiogenesis, with a particular focus on  
the role of specific transcription factors in this process.  Another  
area of interest is vascular inflammation.  A broad variety of  
experimental techniques and model systems will be used to investigate  
these areas.  Some experience in basic molecular biology techniques  
is desirable but not required.



Requirements: Interested candidates should have basic training in the  
biological sciences and an undergraduate degree.
