How technology will revolutionize health care is the focus of MIT
Sloan's BioInnovations Conference on May 6, 2006
MIT Sloan School of Management kicks off its 2nd Annual
BioInnovations Conference with panel discussions addressing:
- Cost improvements in healthcare
- Error prevention in the next generation hospital
- Personalized medicine
- Bio-surveillance
- Diagnostic imaging
- Healthcare in the developing world
Speakers will include, among others:
- John Glaser, MD, Vice President and CIO Partners HealthCare. He was
honored with the John Gall award for health care CIO of the year in
2003.
- Una Ryan, Ph.D., OBE, is president and CEO of AVANT
Immunotherapeutics, Inc., and chairwoman of the Massachusetts
Biotechnology Council. She will speak about leading a company that is
developing vaccines for diseases plaguing the developing world.
- Dr. Raju Kucherlapati, a founder of Millennium Pharmaceuticals and
current scientific director of the Harvard Center for Genetics and
Genomics, will address personalized medicine.
The conference is organized by the MIT Sloan BioMedical Business
