David Bailey, Kerrville Folk Festival Award Winner, will be
performing at the Bartos Theater in the Media Lab on May 5th at 7 pm in
honor of Brain Tumor Action Week.  He left his job in the corporate world and
began his career as a singer/songwriter/guitarist when he was diagnosed with a
glioblastoma and told he only had a few months to live. He is now a 10 year
brain tumor survivor and performs across the country. He has published 12
albums and his story has been featured on CBS News/48 Hours, 60 Minutes,
Fox/Health, Family Health channel, and NPR. Articles about him have appeared in
newspapers and magazines across the country.
This event is sponsored by MIT BrainTrust, a student organization whose goal is
to help people with brain related disorders, the UA Finboard and the MIT Fund.
