TEACH ANYTHING YOU WANT FOR SPLASH!
http://esp.mit.edu/esp_web/splash/
----------------------------------------
On Nov. 19-20, the weekend before Thanksgiving, 1,000 motivated
middle and high school students from the Boston area and beyond will
descend on MIT for SPLASH, a huge extravaganza of volunteer-taught
classes on everything and anything.
TEACH anything you want -- from math to music, from biology to
belly-dancing, from politics to poetry -- for just ONE HOUR, or up to
twenty. See last year's catalog at
http://esp.mit.edu/esp_web/splash/catalog2004.php for a taste of the
classes that have been offered, or come up with an entirely new one!
WANT TO TEACH, BUT NOT SURE HOW OR WHAT? We'd be glad to help you!
We'll have short teacher training workshops (with plenty of free
food). and you can always co-teach with a friend. E-mail us at
teachanything at mit.edu with any questions, or come to a Tuesday 8pm
meeting in room W20-467.
Not into teaching? You can still help out with admin to make SPLASH
run smoothly.
To learn more, and register to teach, visit
http://esp.mit.edu/esp_web/splash/.
Teacher registration is open through the end of October. Tell your friends!
SPLASH is run by ESP, the MIT Educational Studies Program - a
volunteer student group. http://esp.mit.edu/
If you have questions about Splash, please send email to
teachanything at MIT.edu, or to me directly at MShaw at MIT.edu. I hope to
have you all onboard again this year!
