Hello,
My firm in downtown Manhattan is looking to fill a number of
full-time, entry-level Research Associate / Consultant positions
working with biometric technologies. Although the posting below
lists the start date as "ASAP", we are looking for candidates in both
the short term and long term. Research work (UROPs, RAs, etc.) and
advanced degrees are preferred, but not required. I was hoping you

Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have:
* High levels of resourcefulness, tenacity, independence, and energy
* Ability to work independently on complex problems
* Demonstrated aptitude for quickly developing expertise in
technical subject matter
* Strong verbal and written communications skills
* Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
* Polished and professional presentation skills
* Bachelor's Degree a must: Science and Engineering majors with
advanced degree preferred
* Experience working with languages, databases and simulation tools
such as Java, C/C++, MATLAB, Simulink, MySQL
* Familiarity with probabilistic systems analysis and statistical analysis
* Strong quantitative and qualitative reporting skills, and
adherence to scientific research principles and practices
* Experience with biometric systems is a plus, but not required
Job Description:
The individual in this role will be responsible for a combination of
the following:
* PARTICIPATING IN RESEARCH PROJECTS
- Performing detailed and accurate analysis of business and technical issues
- Conducting scenario-based tests of biometric technologies
- Producing research papers on emerging topics in biometrics
- Developing research project plans and budgets
* PARTICIPATING AS PART OF A TEAM ON CONSULTING ENGAGEMENTS
- Developing an understanding of the client's business needs
- Performing strategic and operational analyses based on complex
client requirements
- Managing day-to-day client interactions, working with client
team members at all levels of an organization
