MIT-France information meeting for paid internships at
Genopole

Created in 1998, Genopole is the leading French science park
dedicated to the life sciences. Located just outside of Paris,
Genopole brings together academic and private research laboratories,
higher university education, biotechnology companies, and an
incubator for start-ups. It comprises 26 research laboratories
including 3 national research centers (Genoscope, National Genotyping
Center, Infobiogen) and the French Neuromuscular Dystrophy
Association (AFM/Genethon), a research center in gene/cell therapy.
Genopole's portfolio of entreprises includes 51 biotech companies,
including the Serono Genetics Institute and Sanofi-Aventis.
Genopole is seeking two interns from MIT for 2006. One intern will be
hosted by a research lab, the other within a biotech company.
FIELDS: Biopharma, biophysics, biochemistry, bioinformatics,
biomathematics, chemistry, engineering sciences, genetics, genomics,
post-genomics
COST: All expenses paid
PREREQUISITE: Open to juniors, seniors, graduating students and
graduate students (younger students are encouraged to attend to learn
about future possibilities)
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: Two years of university-level French or
equivalent proficiency
