BE HEARD NATIONWIDE - HAVE YOUR IDEAS PUBLISHED AND READ BY OVER
1,000 UNIQUE VISITORS EVERY WEEK, INCLUDING STUDENTS AND FACULTY AT
SOME OF THE WORLD'S MOST PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES.
THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN AMERICA'S FASTEST GROWING STUDENT-RUN
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AWAITS YOU...
The Triple Helix, Inc. is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization
with 15 chapters involving hundreds of students from the country's
most prestigious universities. As a very young but innovative leader
in undergraduate journalism, The Triple Helix produces one of the
highest quality undergraduate publications with articles discussing
some of the most pressing social, political, and ethical issues in
science.
The Triple Helix produces both a print journal at each of its member
chapters and an online journal, called the E-publishing Division,
that is open to participation by students at schools with and without
chapters. The online journal can be viewed at
http://www.thetriplehelix.org.
The E-publishing division takes advantage of the medium of the
internet to create a truly national forum that is able to transcend
the physical boundaries that separate students at each university. The
E-publishing Division produces two types of articles. Our news brief
articles are 100-200 word articles that describe a recent issue or
breakthrough in the fields of science, society, and law. Our feature
articles are 700-1000 word articles that synthesize information about
new scientific breakthroughs, policies, and societal trends, and
provide a cohesive argument addressing the issues at hand. Articles
are published every several weeks.
We are looking to recruit writers and editors for the E-publishing
Division in order to provide more expansive coverage of scientific
issues as we continue to grow at unprecedented rates.
If you are interested in writing, editing, or both for the
E-publishing Division please email the E-publishing Editor-in-Chief,
Kate Neafsey, at kjn23 at cornell.edu with your resume.
