RE: Mid-term Biology Undergraduate Advising meeting

In order to improve the quality of advising and to help students make
important mid-term decisions concerning their courses, the Biology
Department requires that you meet with your advisor mid-term.

Please contact your biology faculty advisor to set up a mid-term
advising meeting to take place between November 3rd through 19th
(Drop date). When you contact your advisor, you should indicate when
you are available to meet.

The purpose of this required meeting is to discuss your progress
during the semester and any other issues that you have that are
impacting your well-being and performance. This is also a good time
to discuss future plans with your advisor, and get the input you
would like. It is hoped that this meeting will lead to better
commmunication, and facilitate a closer relationship between faculty
advisors and their advisees.

At the end of the meeting both students and advisors will sign a form
indicating that this meeting took place.
