The Museum of Science is organizing a weekend event called “Mars and
Beyond” to take place June 7-8, 2014, where they hope to highlight
current research on a variety of topics in solar system and exoplanetary 
exploration. So they're looking for scientists active in these areas to 
participate.

Hi Paul,

Susan may have already contacted you about this. We’re organizing a
weekend event called “Mars and Beyond” to take place June 7-8, 2014, at
the Museum of Science. The event will run 11:00 am - 4:00 pm on both
days, and it will feature talks, demonstrations, and activities led by
guest scientists.

We hope to highlight current research on a variety of topics in space
exploration, such the Sun, planets, moons, asteroids, and exoplanets, as
well as technologies and methods for studying them. We’d also like to
look at the challenges of sending humans to Mars.

We’re writing to invite you and your colleagues and/or students to
participate in Mars and Beyond. You could give a short talk (15 minutes
plus questions) on our stage, or run a table where you could chat with
visitors, display objects or images, and lead activities or
demonstrations. Several participants will do both a talk and a table!
The talks would be scheduled and the table activities would be ongoing
from 11:00-4:00.

This is a fun outreach opportunity that would let you communicate your
research with thousands of visitors within a short time. You could also
share your work and interests with the other researchers who will be
participating.

Would you and/or any of your colleagues or students be available and
interested in participating on one or both days of Mars and Beyond? Do
you have recommendations for other local researchers that we might contact?
