Abstract:

Titan, the second largest moon in the solar system and Saturn’s largest
moon, has a relatively young surface that has been modified by both
internal and external processes. The NASA/ESA Cassini spacecraft, in
orbit around Saturn since 2004, has a radar instrument onboard that can
penetrate through Titan’s organic haze to return relatively
high-resolution images of its surface. Cassini radar images have
confirmed the presence of bodies of liquid hydrocarbons on Titan’s
surface, as well as provided limited evidence of volcanism and tectonism.
