Dear Student Groups,

Please take note of the following announcements, with details included
below:

1. Activities Midway: Table Assignments and Performance Schedule Available
2. Recruitment Rules
3. Bulletin Boards

----------------------------------------

1. Activities Midway: Table Assignments and Performance Schedule Available

The Orientation Midway is this Friday from 4-6:30pm in Johnson Athletic
Center. You can begin setup as early as 2:30pm. Make sure to sign in
with ASA in the lobby as you arrive for setup. The performance schedule
is also in the table assignment document - performing groups will soon be
emailed separately with more details for the performances.

Assignments are available at: http://web.mit.edu/asa/publicity/midway.html

Please email asa-midway at mit.edu with any questions or corrections to group
names in the listing.

----------------------------------------

2. Recruitment Rules

As a reminder, the ASA Recruitment Rules are in effect until the Midway on
Friday.
Until the Midway, groups may not:
1. Actively collect any information from new students
2. Hold any recruiting events of any sort
3. Place advertisements of any kind anywhere that include recruiting
language
The consequences for violations may include but are not limited to:
warning, monetary fine, loss of Midway space, loss of bulletin board
space, and loss of office/storage space.

For more information see: http://web.mit.edu/asa/publicity/midway.html

If you would clarification for a specific event or posters, or have other
questions about this, please email asa-exec at mit.edu (publicly archived).

----------------------------------------

3. Bulletin Boards

All groups with assigned bulletin boards must be utilizing their board by
next Wednesday (9/9/09) - the first day of classes this semester. If you
do not have something posted by then, your board will likely be
reallocated to a group that applied late. You may take down the labeling
tag when you put up your poster(s) and try to have your board look
distinct from public posting fliers so that others do not add their fliers
to your board.

----------------------------------------

Please feel free to email asa-exec at mit.edu with any requests, questions,
or other inquiries.

Sincerely,
  The ASA Executive Board
