Dear Student Groups,
Please take note of the following two notices about upcoming application
deadlines for your student group.
(1) Student Group Bulletin Board Allocations - Deadline: Sunday, May
10, 2009
(2) LEF/ARCADE Summer Cycle - Deadline: Tuesday, May 19, 2009
=======================================
(1) Student Group Bulletin Board Allocations
This a reminder that the ASA will be conducting allocations of bulletin
board space this semester. If your group is interested in having a
bulletin board, please fill out the short application at
http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/bulletin-board-app.html. Even if you
already have a board, you must fill out this application. Groups which
currently have been allocated bulletin board space will lose that space
if they do not reapply.
The deadline to submit this application is May 10 at 11:59 PM - no
exceptions!
The results of allocations will be published by the end of May. The new
allocations will take effect over the summer, with an exact date to be
determined by the Board.
If you have any questions, please email asa-exec at mit.edu (publicly
archived) or asa-boards at mit.edu (not archived).
=======================================
(2) LEF/ARCADE Summer Cycle Deadline: Tuesday, May 19, 2009
Please take note of the early deadline!
The deadline to submit applications to the Large Event Fund (LEF) and
Assisting Recurring Cultural and Diversity Events (ARCADE) funds for
events occurring between July and September 2009 is Tuesday, May 19,
2009 at 11:59pm. Applications are available online at
https://asa.scripts.mit.edu:444/applications/lef/apply.py.
This deadline is a month earlier than it usually is so that allocations
can be made before the majority of the LEF/ARCADE board leaves for the
summer. We apologize for the inconvenience.
As a reminder, all events with invited speakers/performers are required
to meet with SAO staff prior to applying. A meeting is encouraged for
all other events. SAO holds regular office hours 12-2pm each Wednesday
in the Student Center Coffeehouse. SAO staff may also be available on a
drop-in basis in their office in W20-549.
Please refer to http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html for
more information about the LEF and ARCADE funds. Again, all
applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on May 19, 2009. If you have
any questions please contact asa-treasurer at mit.edu.
=======================================
Good luck on your finals!
Sincerely,
The ASA Executive Board
