Eid Bazaar!

South Asian dinner, desserts, street food, vendors, and performances provided with ticket!



Join MIT’s South Asian Association of Students (SAAS) on Saturday, April 6th from 7 pm to 10 pm in the BC Porter Room for performances from BU and MIT groups, lots of yummy food, a variety of South Asian vendors doing free henna and selling clothes, jewelry, and crafts, and our annual SAAS class dances from the classes of 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027! Tickets are $5 per person and all proceeds for this event will be donated to Humanity First<https://humanityfirst.org/>, an international charity serving disaster-struck and socially disadvantaged communities around the world. About Eid: Eid-al-Fitr is a Muslim holiday that celebrates the end of the month of Ramadan, in which Muslims around the world fast from sunrise to sunset while engaging in acts of charity and kindness. Eid Bazaars are festive markets held primarily in South Asian Muslim communities before Eid. They offer traditional clothing, jewelry, and food, allowing for Eid preparations and joyful community gatherings. Help us bring this important tradition to MIT this year through our inaugural Eid Bazaar!
