Hi!

tldr; apply to be an Amphibious Achievement mentor here<https://forms.gle/1h5ELeYECFzj5t819>. Our website link is here<https://www.amphibious.mit.edu/>. *The application is due on 2/1/21 at MIDNIGHT EDT*

I am a mentor in Amphibious Achievement and we are looking for a dedicated new class of mentors! Amphibious Achievement is a mentorship program for inner-city Boston high school kids. Our program’s mission is to create a community for these students and help them develop the mindset and confidence needed to achieve their goals. We hold 9 sessions in the fall and 9 in the spring on Sunday mornings. Coaches start the day at 8:15am and tutors arrive at 11am. Amphibious Achievement ends at 1:30pm. However, due to COVID, we will be having virtual sessions from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Sundays this semester.

This program strives to help these kids believe in themselves and their abilities to achieve their goals. We are completely student-run by MIT undergrads and the program is free of cost to all the Boston high schoolers who participate. Being a part of Amphibious Achievement has undoubtedly been a huge highlight of my MIT experience. It’s an honor and privilege to be amongst such compassionate and purpose-driven individuals every week.

We are looking for new tutors and coaches, so please apply here<https://forms.gle/1h5ELeYECFzj5t819> by Monday 2/1 at midnight! Also, feel free to email me amphibious-campus at mit.edu<mailto:amphibious-campus at mit.edu> if you have any questions or want more information. We would be happy to talk to you!

Amphibiously,

Melissa
