Hi AAA Exec,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Miki and I am a member of Asian Coalition MA (ACMA). ACMA is a group of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth looking to take action in response to the increasing racism against the AAPI community. We are holding a rally this upcoming weekend and would appreciate it if you forwarded the following information to your members:

In response to the increasing anti-Asian violence, specifically the murders of six Asian women in Atlanta and Cherokee County, ACMA (Asian Coalition MA) will be holding a rally centering Asian Non-Binaries, femmes, and women. The rally will be on Saturday, April 10 at 1PM. It will be a march from Peters Park to the Chinatown Gate. There will also be a virtual option held on Zoom. Our demands made by Asian queer, women, & gender non conforming folks is as follows under the Six Point Demand:
The things that should have happened yesterday:

  1.  End the displacement of low income BIPOC families

  1.  End state violence against API children, families, and people
The things we need today:

  1.  Donate to, volunteer for, and/or request from ACMA’s Peace Walk Program

  1.  Donate to and/or request from ACMA’s Mutual Aid Network prioritizing Asian GNCs, femmes, and women
The things we hope for tomorrow:

  1.  Free access to a network that supports healing for the API Community

  1.  Free programming to dismantle internalized systems of harm

Simply: We are fighting to keep our communities safe, joyful and healthy. Is it that radical to ask for these three simple things after historical disenfranchisement, oppression, displacement, orientalism, imperialism and colonialism that has brought us to this point? As young people we are hopeful that we will see this in our lifetime.
