Subject: Student Mentorship Program for Computer Scientists & Engineers

Dear Students,

I received an email about an organization that wants to launch a peer mentorship program for computer scientists and engineers on campus.

National Engineering Mentors Organization (NEMO) is a program that pairs first and second year students with third and fourth year students in their major to help them excel both inside and outside the classroom.

If you’d be interested in being a mentor, mentee, student leader, or just in learning more about the program, follow this link to their 60 second survey:

Hello!

My name is Shayra Kamal and I am a member of the Publicity Committee of the New York Asian American Student Conference (NYCAASC). We are pleased to announce that our 10th annual conference will be held at New York University’s Kimmel Center on Saturday April 23rd, 2016. This year, our theme is Checkpoints: Communicating Consciousness, which aims to provide participants with the tools and language to both examine and articulate one’s self, community, and society- which are all key components of consciousness.

This conference is free to attend. We also provide complimentary breakfast and lunch. During the conference, we will host performances highlighting various up-and-coming Asian American performers. Past artists and attendees include Joseph Vincent, MC Jin, Bea Go and comedian Hari Kondabolu.

We hope you are interested in attending our 10th anniversary event! Feel free to RSVP on our Facebook event page 10th Annual NYCAASC: Checkpoints <https://www.facebook.com/events/173548129693572/> or let us know via email if you or any members of the AAA at MIT would be interested in coming.

Please don’t hesitate to email me back or reach out to us at info at nycaasc.com<mailto:info at nycaasc.com>. I think your attendance will be a great learning experience and networking opportunity for your organization and all our attendees. Thank you for your time and consideration.

We hope to see you at NYCAASC 2016!

Sincerely,

Shayra Kamal
