Subj: MIT ACM Individual contest this Sunday

On Sunday, October 4th, from 12:30 - 5:30 pm we will hold the
individual phase of the MIT ACM Programming contest in room 1-115. The
goal of this contest is to help select a team of three students to
represent MIT at the ACM International Programming Contest (see
http://icpc.baylor.edu/icpc).

The team we be selected through a short series of competitions held on
consecutive Sundays and will compete at the local regional levels and
(we hope!) at the World Finals in Harbin, China in February, 2010.
You'll have an an opportunity to compete against teams from the best
universities around the world.

All MIT undergraduates are welcome (as well as some first or second
year graduate students; for more info on eligibility see
http://swerc.eu/swerc/EligibilityDecisionDiagram2009.pdf. The only
requirement is the ability to program in C, C++ or Java.
