Subject: final mit acm contest announcement
Hi all-
This weekend is the last chance for people to try out for MIT's ACM
team. Can you please forward this to the EECS undergrads, the math
undergrads, and the physics undergrads, respectively. (Actually, if
any of you have access to the first-year grads, they're also welcome.)
Thanks,
Andy
Subj: Last call for MIT ACM qualification this Sunday
On Sunday, October 11th, from 12:30 - 5:30 pm we will hold the
first team phase of the MIT ACM Programming contest in room 1-115. The
goal of this contest is to help select a team of three students to
represent MIT at the ACM International Programming Contest (see
http://icpc.baylor.edu/icpc). You can come with a team, by yourself,
as a pair, or however you like, and you are welcome even if you didn't
compete last weekend. If you want to be on MIT's ACM team this year
with a chance to compete at at the local regional levels and
(we hope!) at the World Finals in Harbin, China in February, 2010,
this is your last chance.
All MIT undergraduates are welcome (as well as some first or second
year graduate students; for more info on eligibility see
http://swerc.eu/swerc/EligibilityDecisionDiagram2009.pdf. The only
requirement is the ability to program in C, C++ or Java.
For additional information, visit
http://web.mit.edu/acmicpc/www/2009/ and join the mailing list
acmpc at mit.edu.
Come try out and help us win at the finals.! If you are interested in
competing, email acmpc-coaches at mit.edu ASAP so we know how many people
to expect (and to buy pizza and coffee for).
If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail acmpc-coaches at mit.edu.
