Subject: Intel is Visiting Wed March 4th
Hi there,
If possible could you help spread the word that Intel is visiting Wed. March
4th. I truly enjoyed my time at MIT and now love life at Intel. I and four
other Intel employees are traveling back to the snow to answer any questions
students may have about interning or working at Intel. The event info is
posted below.
Thanks so much for your help.
Sincerely,
Shawna M. Liff, Ph.D.
Class of 2008
Intel - The Future Awaits
In September I graduated with my Ph.D. from Course 2 with a Polymer
Mechanics focus and joined Intel Corporation. You might wonder like I did,
what kind of opportunities exist for someone with your skill set at a
company like Intel. Well to my surprise the opportunities at Intel are vast
and more importantly diversity and employee satisfaction are valued as much
as results, customer satisfaction and innovation. If you are a Materials
Scientist, Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Polymer Scientist,
Electrical Engineer, Software Engineer, Computer Scientist, Industrial
Engineer, Mathematician, Physicist, Economist and even Archaeologist there
may be a fit for you at Intel.

ROOM: 5-134
*Dinner time seminar from 6-7 pm "Inside Intel"
Are you looking for an internship or beginning to think about finding a job?
Even in this sinking economy while some companies are in need of bailout,
Intel Corporation is investing in the technologies and talent of tomorrow.
On February 10th at the Economic Club in Washington DC Intel CEO Paul
Otellini announced a plan to invest 7 billion dollars in US factories (fabs)
to produce the most advanced computer technology in the world. Four
opportunities in the immediate future include developing
* Powerful computing and communications devices that deliver the
full internet experience and fit in your pocket,
* Inexpensive computers for classrooms for the poorest villages in
Africa and other emerging markets,
* High-tech sensors that allow the elderly to self-monitor their
health, and
* Smart networks of microprocessors, software and sensors that will
help re-engineer the electrical grid.
On March 4th I and four other employees from Intel Corporation will be
visiting campus. We will be offering a lunch and dinner presentation
(delicious eats included) as well as open hours where we welcome you to stop
by, ask questions, learn about life and work at Intel Corporation and drop
off a resume (see schedule below).
We look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Shawna M. Liff, PhD
