Australian Education International is seeking two interns to work in our
office located at the Embassy of Australia in Washington, DC.

POLICY INTERNSHIP

AEI is currently seeking a policy intern to begin in early August through
early December. Full-time interns are paid $1000/month and part-time interns
$500/month.
The intern will assist with researching, monitoring, and reporting on US and
Canadian education policy; and assisting the policy manager with
supplemental duties as requested.
The successful candidate will:
* Have completed at least two years of college (with a GPA of 3.2);
* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Have strong research and analytical skills;
* Have the ability to work independently and in a team;
* Have a personal interest in the fields of education policy and/or
international relations.
Previous work or study experience in Australia is a plus.

MARKETING INTERNSHIP

AEI is currently seeking a fall intern from September to December. Full-time
interns are paid $1000/month and part-time interns $500/month.
The intern will assist with event management, student enquiries, website
development, database tasks, administrative tasks and research. Event
management requires the commitment to work outside of normal working hours
on Embassy events.
The successful candidate will:
* have completed at least three years of college (with a GPA of 3.2)
* possess strong written and verbal communication skills
* be proficient with Microsoft Office
* have the ability to work independently and in a team
* have the ability to show initiative
- have experience updating websites and comfortable using online social
networking
* have a personal interest in the fields of education marketing,
international education, public relations and /or marketing.
Previous work or study experience in Australia is a plus.
