[2015] [Senior Week] Clarification on Standbys/Refunds

Hey seniors,

Hope you've been enjoying the events so far. From the emails we've been
getting, we've noticed that there seems to be some confusion about standby
and ticket transfers. First off, we'd like to apologize for this mishap,
we've been adapting our processes from last year's senior week in ways that
would make the process simpler for everyone, so it's been a work in
progress.


*STANDBYS*:

We've included the list of events below and their meeting times for when we
will be handing out standby tickets.  To receive a ticket on standby you
must show up in person with the correct amount of cash to the event
check-in.

*REFUNDS*:

To increase your chances that you can get your money back, it is therefore
in your best interest to publicize the fact that you want to sell your
spot. The most central way of doing this is through emailing
sw15-spam at mit.edu. Please note, however, that since tickets are transferred
to the first person on the standby list, you cannot choose to give your
ticket to a specific friend unless they are next up on the list. If someone
shows up to the event to take your extra ticket, the refund will be issued
to you over the next few days by a member of the Senior Week committee.

Once again, we want to apologize for any confusion this may have caused and
hope that this email better clarifies the process. We're constantly trying
to improve our process, so let us know if you have any suggestions on how
we can do better.
