[2015] Late Petitions for Treasurer and Secretary

Hello all,

We received questions from several people about completing petitions by the
Late Petition Deadline, which is this Monday, April 2nd, at 5pm.

The late petition deadline was designed for candidates who submitted
incomplete paperwork by the regular deadline. Candidates could be granted
extensions on a case by case basis by the election commision. The lone
exeption to this is when no candidate has submitted a petition by the
regular deadline.
The election code states:  "Petitions for these offices will be both
distributed and accepted  until the late petition deadline. If no petition
has been filed for the office by the late deadline, the  deadline for that
office may be extended by a few more days."

The two offices we did not receive complete petitions by the regular
deadline were the 2015 Treasurer and 2015 Secretary offices. *As we
currently have a submitted petition for the Treasurer race the deadline
will by Monday at 5pm.*
If we receive a completed petition for *the Secretary office* by Monday
then that will be the deadline for the Secretary office. *If we do not
receive a completed petition by Monday for the Secretary race then the
deadline will be extended to Wednesday at 5pm*. That will be the final
extension.
