[2015] HHMI Lecture and Luncheon-- March 6th, 12PM

Dear Freshmen,

You are cordially invited to attend this year's Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Lecture which will be given by Dr. Brian Druker<http://www.hhmi.org/research/investigators/druker_bio.html> on Tuesday, March 6th.

The lecture is entitled "Targeting Molecular Pathogenic Events in Cancer". Dr. Druker is an oncologist and is responsible for the development of Gleevec (imatinib), a drug that targets the molecular defect in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).

Please take advantage of this opportunity to gather with your fellow classmates to meet and speak with this leading researcher in cancer therapy.

Lecture: 12-1pm, Whitehead Auditorium (WI-110). All are welcome.

Luncheon: 1-2pm, Whitehead Conference Room, 7th Floor. Open to Biology undergraduates and faculty.
