[Class of 2009] Freshman-Sophomore Career Week & More Fice+Ice Tickets

Class of 2009,
 
Today marks the beginning of the Freshman-Sophomore Career Week sponsored by
the 2008 and 2009 class councils. Be sure to take advantage of as many of
these events as you can - they are made just for you. This is a rare chance
to get career advice, as most of the career events on campus are geared
towards upperclassmen only. There will be several workshops and panels
throughout the week regarding internships, resumes, research, dress,
entrepreneurship, networking with faculty, etc. Kick off the week tonight
with a keynote address by Niel Robertson (Class of '96) from 7-8PM in 10-250
followed by a reception from 8:15-9:15PM in the Bush Room. Free food, free

Also, many of you have been asking about Fire + Ice tickets. We still have
many spots left. We'll be selling the tickets at the beginning of this week
so if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, stop the student center at the
following times:
 
Monday: 1pm-3pm
Tuesday: 11am-2pm
Wednesday: 11am-3pm
 
If you cannot make any of these times and still want tickets, e-mail me as
soon as possible so that I can let you know what we can do. Don't miss the
chance for really awesome, practically free food. Once again, March 6 @ 6PM
- $3 - All you can eat, bottomless fountain drinks. (For those of you
involved with sports, you CAN come late once you get out of practice).
 
I'd also watch out for a surprise study break coming soon.
