In a similar vein, I have a user (Mac OS X, running Eudora 5.2.3) with an
incredible duplicating message phenomonon. She leavers her email on
the PO server, so she can access important messages from both home and
MIT. In webmail, her inbox shows single copies of messages.
But when Eudora downloads her new mail, she gets duplicates of each
message. This started within the past week. Is this
related?

I find that I am getting just two copies, one from the itpartners
list and one from the macpartners list.
Perhaps that may give an idea as to where to look for the
answer.

cheers
I have not had this happen - until YOUR message came through twice!!
Would this indicate something about the sending machine?

Just wondering,
A couple of my colleagues and I have noticed that we've been receiving
multiple copies of some e-mails distributed through mailing lists this
week (I think it started on Monday...). This is not because an
e-mail was sent to multiple lists and therefore multiple copies were
delivered, but rather a single mailing list delivered two copies of the
exact same message with the same timestamp.

I had been deleting these but since they seem to be continuing and there
has been no discussion of this behavior, or notes on 3-Down, it was
suggested to I write to IT-Partners and try to get a sense of how common
it may be and hopefully identify any common parameters.

I'm on PO9 but I know of two other folks on PO12 who've experienced
this.

I'm using Eudora 5.2 on WinXP with IMAP. One of my colleagues
uses Eudora 5.2 on WinXP with POP.

I've seen these duplicates regularly on WinPartners and MacPartners
Mailman mailing lists but I'm not certain about others at this time.
There are other Mailman lists which I've not seen this behavior
on.

If others have seen behavior like this, perhaps you could drop me a quick
note and I'll try to summarize the response for the list this evening (or
sooner if I get a whole lot of feedback).

Thanks,
